The SpeakerCraft MZC-66 Multi-Zone AV Amplifier Controller combines powerful audio performance, versatile connectivity, and intelligent control functions in a compact enclosure. Designed for high-quality multi-room installations in residential and commercial applications, the system features twelve digital audio amplifiers, each with 30 watts per channel , powering up to six independent zones . Different content can be played individually in each zone via six AV sources —perfect for sophisticated audio and video distribution.
With its 4-ohm stability per channel, the amplifier ensures reliable performance even with power-hungry speakers. The system is also expandable to up to 24 zones , making it ideal for future expansion plans.
Practical features like doorbell and telephone muting increase convenience: When a call or doorbell signal is received, playback is automatically paused and then resumed. The integrated video distribution also allows camera signals or door video sources to be transmitted directly to each zone – ideal for additional security.
Operation is flexible via handheld remote control, wall-mounted keypads, or discrete IR receivers , allowing the system to be perfectly adapted to individual control preferences. The MZC-66 also offers pre-outs for connecting external high-performance amplifiers to optimally cover large rooms or outdoor areas.
With composite video outputs for each zone, compatible keypads , and an RS-232 interface for external control devices, the system is suitable for both simple and complex installations. Firmware updates via the control ports ensure the system stays up-to-date at all times.
