McIntosh MT5 Precision – Reference turntable with impressive sound quality and iconic design

The McIntosh MT5 Precision combines first-class analog technology, high-quality materials, and the unmistakable design of the renowned hi-fi manufacturer McIntosh. As a fully tuned reference turntable, it impresses discerning vinyl enthusiasts with its sophisticated construction, precise reproduction, and exceptional aesthetics. It's no wonder the MT5 caused a sensation at CES in Las Vegas and was recognized by the prestigious magazine What HiFi? as one of the "Stars of CES."

Precise analog technology for discerning music enjoyment

In the McIntosh MT5 Precision, the turntable, tonearm, and cartridge form a perfectly matched unit. The high-quality acrylic platter is driven by a powerful DC motor via a precise belt drive. Combined with the magnetically suspended ceramic bearings, this results in exceptionally smooth and stable rotation. The outcome is reliable tracking, providing outstanding conditions for detailed and balanced music reproduction.

Another technical highlight is the high-quality duralumin tonearm. Its precise magnetic bearings enable low-friction guidance and support accurate tracking of the record groove. The design is complemented by a magnetic anti-skating system, which ensures optimal tracking conditions.

High-quality pickup and comfortable setup

The MT5 Precision comes equipped with a high-quality, high-output moving coil (MC) cartridge as standard. This can also be used with a conventional moving magnet (MM) phono input, allowing for easy integration into numerous high-quality hi-fi systems.

The turntable is particularly easy to set up: Important settings such as tracking force, anti-skating, cartridge overhang, and tonearm height are already preset at the factory. This means the turntable is ready to use quickly and offers an excellent entry into high-quality analog music playback without any complicated adjustments.

Thanks to its integrated servo-controlled speed regulation, the McIntosh MT5 supports precise speed control. In addition to the classic speeds of 33 1/3 and 45 rpm, 78 rpm is also available for compatible records. Further fine-tuning of the speed allows for additional adjustments.

Iconic McIntosh design with captivating lighting

Visually, the McIntosh MT5 Precision unmistakably reflects the manufacturer's characteristic design language. The high-quality chassis, carefully selected materials, and illuminated platter make it a true eye-catcher in any sophisticated hi-fi system.

A particular highlight is the striking blue-green illumination of the turntable. It gives the MT5 its distinctive appearance and combines technical elegance with the legendary McIntosh look. At the same time, the elaborately engineered combination of stainless steel and acrylic helps to minimize unwanted resonances and sonic coloration.

The MT5 impresses not only with its technical features, but also as a high-quality design object that blends harmoniously into modern and classic living environments.

Perfectly protected and versatilely integrable

A transparent dust cover is included to protect the drive and its sensitive components. Stereo outputs allow connection to a high-quality stereo system. Additional control connections also allow for convenient integration of the turntable into compatible McIntosh systems.

The MT5's sonic strengths are particularly impressive when used in a high-quality two-channel stereo system. As a perfect complement to digital music sources, it offers discerning music lovers the opportunity to enjoy their record collection with first-class analog technology and the unmistakable McIntosh character.
