The basis of this impressive performance is a sophisticated, multi-sandwich cabinet construction with an asymmetrical design. Inside, a high-strength honeycomb core combined with multiplex plywood ensures exceptional stability. This construction is complemented by an outer shell made of glass-elastomer composite material, which provides high internal damping. This effectively minimizes unwanted cabinet resonances. The cabinet remains acoustically remarkably quiet, thus creating optimal conditions for pristine sound reproduction.

The CARDEAS RQ also features a completely redesigned driver technology. Tweeters, midrange drivers, and mid-bass drivers benefit from the innovative RECOTec diaphragm material. This special carbon matrix fabric combines high rigidity with excellent internal damping. As a result, the drivers can reproduce even the smallest movements of the music signal quickly and precisely. Q-SET is made possible by specially designed dual voice coils in the woofers and mid-bass drivers. The two 180 mm mid-bass drivers and the two 280 mm woofers are specifically designed for this technology. This combination enables a powerful, deep, and precisely controlled bass foundation.

With a frequency response of 23 Hz to 40 kHz, the CARDEAS RQ boasts an impressive bandwidth. Low frequencies are reproduced powerfully and confidently, while the treble range transparently renders the finest details and dynamic structures. Furthermore, its 90 dB efficiency and recommended amplifier power of 40 to 350 watts allow for flexible integration into high-quality hi-fi and high-end systems.
