The 800 Series Diamond is undergoing further development that has it all. All they know and are: Bowers & Wilkins speaks of the most advanced line of loudspeakers they can create.
802 D4:
The 802 D4 has a lot in common with the flagship 801 D4 and is in no way inferior to it. Also equipped with the Turbine Head enclosure for the midrange, they are the perfect choice for home cinema applications and stereo music enjoyment.
The technologies at a glance:
Aluminum cover plate:
The housing design of the stereo models of the new Diamond 800 series has been completely optimized. The brand new aluminum cover plate provides more rigidity and thus even more authenticity. The design also offers another new detail: an elegant Connoly leather cover.
Decoupled midrange driver:
Continuum cone, FST biometric suspension and midrange decoupling are the four proprietary Bowers & Wilkins technologies. The midrange decoupling ensures a minimum of background noise through the bass driver of the speaker.
Turbine heads:
The most realistic midrange sound ever, thanks to the all-aluminum turbine head. They house the unique Continuum midrange cone. Rigid and specially dampened, the cabinet eliminates unwanted and disruptive resonances. However, it is completely separate from the tweeter and bass enclosure.
