803 D4:
The 803 D4 floorstanding loudspeakers are an elegant and compact model of the new 800 series. They offer the advantages of a separate midrange housing with a decoupled midrange driver. They fit into every living room and are bursting with technical innovations.
The technologies at a glance:
Biomimetic suspension:
Bowers & Wilkins has improved the biomimetic suspension of its loudspeakers. The result is a revolution in midrange performance. Unwanted scent pressure and discolouration, which a conventional fabric spider can cause, is greatly reduced.
Aluminum bass pods:
The two Aerofoil bass membranes in aluminum bass pods guarantee clean and accurate bass. Each of them is clamped into an internal aluminum plate placed at the stiffest point of the chassis. This construction is formed from a piece of metal.
Turbine heads:
The most realistic midrange sound ever, thanks to the all-aluminum turbine head. They house the unique Continuum midrange cone. Rigid and specially dampened, the cabinet eliminates unwanted and disruptive resonances. However, it is completely separate from the tweeter and bass enclosure.
