About signatures

805 D4 Signature
The 805 D4 Signature is compact and powerful. It features extensively optimized technologies, including the all-important diamond dome tweeter and the massive tweeter-on-top enclosure. And it is proof that small can always be more beautiful.
Ultra stable tweeter housing
The latest version of the legendary, ultra-stable B&W tweeter-on-top housing is characterized by a stretched shape with a longer tube system and a redesigned tweeter cover that makes the sound in the high-frequency range seem even freer and more open. The carefully decoupled housing is still milled from a single block of solid aluminum to optimally counteract resonances.
Inverted housing
Instead of the usual speaker shape with a flat front and curved back, the 800 series enclosures consist of a one-piece rigid shell with a solid aluminum back panel. Fewer joints result in a stiffer, more acoustically neutral structure, while the curved baffle reduces clutter around the drivers. This improves the sound radiation and reduces the housing reflection.
Continuum™ membrane
Thanks to its special construction, the Continuum TM cone prevents abrupt movement transitions that can affect the performance of conventional drivers. This contributes to a more open, neutral performance. Voices and instruments are reproduced with great precision and transparency.
