The basic idea for the AUFTAKT was to offer its own auditorium drive with maximum equipment in a particularly attractive price range. explains Herbert Linnemann, analogue specialist and source of ideas for the AUFTAKT project, which has now been realized in collaboration with Clearaudio.
The aim of the AUFTAKT is to offer a solid base of first-class sound and manufacturing quality. With the upgrade options, we offer unlimited sound gain at extremely favorable conditions.
The AUFTAKT stands on three fully turned aluminum spikes on washers made of the same material. The basic chassis consists of a Boomerang-like base made of about 3 cm thick transparent acrylic glass. The plate is made of matt 70 mm high acrylate and sits on an inverted bearing made of sintered bronze. Tonearm bases are built on the left and right of the drive and offer the possibility to build tonearms or cleaning arms on both sides. On the right is a SATISFY Carbon tonearm in silver (wired through from the system to the phono preamplifier stage). The Clearaudio Satisfy Carbon is a horizontally / vertically mounted tonearm with magnetic anti-skating, wired with Clearaudio directwire, with a carbon tonearm tube and Smart MPC cinch plugs
In the tonearm is the Virtuoso V2 pickup system, a pickup from the new, optimized and improved series of MM pickups. The main differences to the previous series are that the system body consists of a hand-polished ebony housing with a built-in resonance-dampening metal plate. By using stronger magnets, a much greater dynamic can be felt.
