LOVE STORY IN EPIC BROAD
Since the beginning of June 2022, the band has been releasing the album in a four-week rhythm, which consists of four long players: I. CRESENT, II. ASCENSION, III. THE FALL and IV Farewell. During the pandemic, 24 songs were created, inspired by the Persian poet Nizami Ganjavi and his story about the lovers Leila and Majnun. Where else but in Jacksonville, Florida could you make a cool, epic blues-rock album based on an oriental fable?
ON FAREWELL IN TOP FORM
I AM THE MOON covers pretty much every need a fan of American folk music could have. The twelve-piece band moves rocking and self-confident between blues, soul, jazz and gospel. Susan Tedeschi's clear voice is soft, sensitive and really lights up a track like D'Gary (on FAREWELL). I AM THE MOON has no fillers. There are 24 good songs, six on each album and each of these albums is incredibly fun. If someone conquers their inner Monk and decides on just one of the albums, I recommend FAREWELL, because towards the end the band is in top form again.
