During the development of the Statement series, Naim engineers quickly realized that they needed a completely new range of high-performance cables to fully exploit the enormous potential of the reference amplifiers.
Thus, a project was launched to develop signal and speaker cables at the Statement level. Naim's high level of expertise in materials science, as well as thousands of hours spent in the listening room, ultimately led to the Super Lumina series.
Features
Super Lumina speaker cables are designed to minimize the influence of external and internal interference on the audio signal. Therefore, the cable is constructed from individually insulated, silver-plated copper strands of varying diameters and a tinned copper shield. Thanks to its soft, vibration-damping outer jacket, it is also easy to route. The signal, return, and ground conductors, as well as the shielding, were each specifically developed for use in the Super Lumina system.
Each Super Lumina cable is handcrafted and assembled to customer specifications at Naim in Salisbury. The manufacturing process is exceptionally complex, and highly skilled technicians follow detailed work instructions at every step. The cable then undergoes a proprietary Naim mechanical stress-relieving process. This reduces the break-in period—the time the cable needs to reach its full sonic potential.
