T/5x – Compact design, impressive performance

The T/5x was specially developed for small to medium-sized rooms and integrates seamlessly into any environment. A key design decision is the bottom firing, which ensures that the bass energy is evenly distributed throughout the room and achieves a sound effect that is otherwise reserved for larger models. At the same time, this concept offers a visual advantage: Since no visible speaker grill is required, the model presents itself in a particularly clear and reduced form.

Compared to its predecessor, the T/5x has been slightly enlarged, but subtle adjustments to the design make it appear even more compact. The elegant finish with five hand-polished layers of lacquer in high-gloss white or piano black underlines the high-quality character of this model and fits harmoniously into a wide variety of living styles.

Optimized housing architecture for better acoustics

The close connection between technical performance and design plays a central role at REL. To further optimize the sound quality, the housing volume was increased to achieve even better performance and sound fluidity. At the same time, the external design was refined so that the footprint appears more compact. Rounded housing edges ensure a soft visual perception, making the model appear modern and at the same time unobtrusive.

Advanced driver technology for maximum precision

The T/5x is equipped with a powerful 8-inch long-throw driver made of an aluminum-paper composite membrane. This combination enables extremely detailed reproduction and precise impulse control. Thanks to technical improvements, the maximum stroke has been increased, allowing the model to reproduce lower frequencies with more power and dynamics. Numerous internal modifications to the chassis also ensure a faster and more precise response - comparable to the transformation of a vehicle from a comfortable sedan to a powerful sports car.

High-quality amplifier technology for the best possible control

The T/5x is based on a proven 125 watt Class A/B amplifier, known for its durability and excellent sonic transparency. Key internal components have been redesigned to further optimize the speed and detail of playback. For maximum flexibility, separate high-level and low-level inputs are available so that both passive and active speaker systems can be optimally integrated. In addition, a dedicated .1/LFE input offers perfect adaptation to home theater setups and enables automatic switching between music and film playback without additional settings.

Advanced wireless connectivity with the highest sound quality

REL has built an excellent reputation for developing extremely fast and high-quality wireless systems. The T/5x can be optionally equipped with the Arrow™ Wireless system, which offers latency-free and lossless transmission without digital compression. This ensures that the sound always remains dynamic and lively. It is also possible to connect one channel of a pair of REL subwoofers wirelessly while the other remains connected via cable to ensure maximum flexibility.
