The ARCONA 80 SD combines audiophile sound quality with state-of-the-art loudspeaker technology from Gauder Akustik. As a powerful 2.5-way floorstanding speaker, this model impresses with exceptional dynamics, precise spatial imaging, and remarkably natural music reproduction. Thanks to technology transfer from the reference series, music lovers benefit from true high-end performance in an attractive entry-level price range.
The ARCONA 80 SD reveals its sonic strengths from the very first listen: the finest details are rendered with precision, voices sound clear and authentic, while bass is reproduced with control and depth. This is due in part to the high-resolution soft-dome tweeter with its silky-smooth sound signature. This is complemented by specially developed bass/midrange drivers with a patented XPulse diaphragm. The combination of lightweight aluminum and an ultra-light honeycomb core enables exceptionally fast and distortion-free signal processing.
Another highlight is the symmetrical, ultra-steep crossover. This sophisticated design significantly reduces unwanted interference between the individual drivers and ensures exceptionally precise soundstage imaging. At the same time, speech intelligibility and impulse response are improved – crucial factors for realistic music reproduction.
The ARCONA 80 SD also sets standards in its class in terms of design. The acoustically optimized, teardrop-shaped cabinet minimizes resonances and promotes clean sound reproduction. High-quality components such as the WBT Nextgen terminal and Clearwater internal wiring guarantee low-loss signal transmission down to the smallest detail.
The integrated Bass Extension System allows for individual adjustment of the low-frequency range. This enables the speaker to be optimally tailored to room size and personal listening preferences.
