Technics presents the new high-end floorstanding speakers SB-G90M2 from its outstanding Grand Class series . Like the previous SB-G90 model, the new M2 version is designed as a 3-way bass reflex speaker and is based on an innovative 2-way coaxial driver with a 25 mm dome tweeter and a 160 mm aluminum mid-range membrane. In addition, two additional 160 mm woofers ensure rich bass reproduction.

Thanks to meticulous research and careful development work, the Technics engineers have succeeded in significantly increasing the acoustic performance of the loudspeakers. All mechanical components and the innovative driver design have been revised in detail and trimmed for absolute top performance. Through the massive use of computer analyzes and simulations, the developers have succeeded in optimizing all components used, such as drivers and the complex housing structure, to minimize distortion and to effectively suppress disruptive resonances. Thanks to the technological innovation of Technics, an already outstanding product with extraordinary sound quality has been significantly improved. With the new SB-G90M2, Technics will further underline its leadership as a manufacturer of first-class audio products. With all its products, Technics consistently pursues the clear goal of perfect, unadulterated and natural music reproduction, as close as possible to the artist's original, regardless of type and style.

Compared to the previous model, the SB-G90M2 have the following features and technical specifications:

Advanced Phase Precision Driver: Using extensive computer analysis and simulations with the "Finite Element Method", the structure and shape of the coaxial driver has been optimized to drastically reduce self-resonance and distortion for an even more natural mid-range reproduction. In addition, the "Linear Phase Plug" ensures optimal phase linearity and an extremely balanced sound pressure curve in the high-frequency range.
Advanced BDMA (Balanced Driver Mounting Architecture): The "second" baffle built inside the cabinet, on which the heavy magnet of the driver is mounted exactly at its center of gravity, has been extended to the base plate of the cabinet. Any vibrations that occur are thus effectively dissipated into the floor.
Acoustically optimized housing: The entire internal structure of the housing with complex reinforcements has been carefully revised, especially in the lower area. In order to effectively suppress standing waves within the housing, a multiply folded "wave guide" was installed. Thanks to a precisely measured amount of acoustic damping material at precisely calculated points, this sophisticated structure eliminates all disruptive cabinet resonances.
In response to numerous customer requests, the new SB-G90M2 has a double pair of solid connection screw terminals, enabling bi-wiring and bi-amping for hi-fi lovers.
