Technics SL-1200/1210GME – The legend lives on

For over 50 years, the Technics SL-1200 series has stood for precision, innovation, and audiophile-quality sound. With the SL-1200/1210GME (Master Edition), Technics now presents the pinnacle of this legendary series—a turntable that combines cutting-edge technology, iconic design, and craftsmanship.

Limited production numbers, exclusive craftsmanship, and the groundbreaking ?S-Drive (Delta Sigma Drive) motor control make this direct-drive turntable a true collector's item—designed for music lovers seeking uncompromising sound quality.

State-of-the-art drive technology for maximum precision

The ?S-Drive technology ensures a perfect sine wave in the iron-coreless direct-drive motor. State-of-the-art PWM signal generation with delta-sigma modulation , as used in fully digital Technics amplifiers, minimizes motor vibrations – for unsurpassed rotational accuracy and smooth running.

The iron-coreless dual-rotor/single-stator motor guarantees maximum stability, eliminates pole judder, and enables strong drive torque. A hybrid encoder with a Hall sensor monitors the rotation speed and ensures stable pitch even with warped records—ideal for precise reproduction of acoustic instruments.

Audiophile mechanics – built to last

The SL-1200/1210G Master Edition features a four-layer chassis made of die-cast aluminum and BMC, complemented by a 10 mm aluminum top plate and heavy rubber coating for maximum resonance control.

The three-layer turntable made of die-cast aluminum, rubber, and a 2 mm brass plate has a total weight of 3.6 kg – perfectly balanced for absolute smoothness and exceptional feel.

The S-shaped magnesium tonearm with precision bearings enables sensitive tracking of each groove, while a-gel damping feet effectively isolate external vibrations.

Low-noise high-speed switching power supply

The new multi-stage switching power supply operates at over 100 kHz and combines low-noise, high-speed operation with innovative anti-phase noise suppression . The result: an extremely low noise floor and an outstanding signal-to-noise ratio – for clear, detailed sound.

Design & exclusivity – a real collector's item

The Master Edition celebrates the iconic Technics design with elegant gold accents :

Tonearm with gold finish

Headshell with gold-colored Technics logo

Gold-colored “Master Edition” logo plaque with serial number

Dust cover with gold print

This model is available in silver(SL-1200 GME) and black ( SL-1210 GME) – a real highlight for design lovers and collectors alike.

Sustainable packaging

Technics relies on environmentally friendly packaging without Styrofoam (EPS). The new cardboard interior structure optimally protects the turntable while allowing for easy storage of accessories.
