Technics SU-G700M2 Grand Class Stereo Integrated Amplifier

The new Technics model SU-G700M2 is based on the platform of the predecessor model SU-G700, which is popular with hi-fi enthusiasts and which has already set standards among amplifiers and has received awards from numerous specialist publications worldwide.

The new SU-G700M2 is a prime example of Technics' tireless research and development work to guarantee every hi-fi enthusiast the best possible sound quality, regardless of sources and formats and the speakers connected. In the new SU-G700M2, many of the advanced technologies from Technics' reference class, the flagship model SU-R1000, have been adopted to offer superior sound quality previously thought unthinkable in this class.

Among the innovative highlights of the new SU-G700M2 are sophisticated digital technologies that have been tried and tested for years, such as the JENO Engine (Jitter Elimination and Noise-Shaping Optimization), which processes any music signal without distortion and absolutely jitter-free in order to play it with the highest precision and maximum sound quality to reproduce signal fidelity. In addition, the LAPD technology (Load Adaptive Phase Calibration) ensures that the amplifier is perfectly matched to the impedance curve of the speakers connected in each case, thus optimizing the phase curve of the playback.

The new SU-G700M2 uses further innovations and technologies for the best possible sound quality:

• Advanced Speed Silent Power Supply (AS²PS): Super-fast semiconductors such as the GaN (gallium nitrite) field effect transistors and diodes made of silicon carbide (SiC) in the power supply ensure an enormously impulsive ability to deliver current to the power output stages.
  This circuit concept, adopted from the flagship model SU-R1000, ensures overwhelming power and stability even with power-hungry loudspeakers.
• Sound characteristics and power delivery have been sensitively reworked to ensure extremely clean, crystal-clear reproduction with absolutely minimal distortion. Careful fine-tuning of the spatial imaging has significantly improved the precise localization and placement of voices and instruments in the listening room.
• For vinyl lovers, the SU-G700M2 already has a particularly high-quality phono stage on board, which enables turntables with the MM system as well as audiophile MC cartridges to be connected directly.
• An additional phase switch for the phono input enables the "correct" playback of older records, which were often ejected and pressed with an inverted phase.
• All rotary controls for volume and source selection are made of solid aluminum and now have the non-slip textured surface familiar from the SU-R1000 reference amplifier, in order to set the new SU-G700M2 model apart from its predecessor in terms of appearance.
