The NAP 200 is a musically outstanding yet affordable power amplifier and represents the entry point into the Reference Series. The NAP 200 utilizes newly developed circuitry with an improved grounding system. High-quality printed circuit boards are used for the NAP 200's circuitry. These are mounted on decoupling pins. Both this decoupling system and the anti-vibration feet prevent any impairment of the sound due to mechanical vibrations.
The NAP 200 owes its superior sound quality compared to its predecessor in part to an improved power supply: a high-quality new transformer allows the power amplifier to handle enormous impulse peaks. The NAP 200's power supply features a separate winding for the DC output of the power amplifier, which can power a compatible Naim preamplifier, such as the NAC 202. The NAP 200 is a versatile and powerful power amplifier that will have few competitors in its class.
