Easy installation with wizard

The Altitude16 comes with setup software that simplifies installation procedures for integrators. It guides you through a step-by-step process that defines how to best utilize the available input and output channels, as well as the desired speaker layouts. This new 'assistant' significantly simplifies the initial setup and calibration process.

All-inclusive decoding package

The standard version of the Altitude16 natively decodes Dolby Digital Plus®, Dolby TrueHD®, DTS Digital Surround®, and DTS-HD Master Audio®. It also includes all immersive codecs as standard, allowing you to experience a new world of immersive sound with the latest technologies from Dolby Laboratories®, DTS Inc®, and Auro Technologies®.

Remapping

Thanks to our microphone's 3D measurement capabilities, the actual position of each speaker in the room can be precisely located in terms of distance, azimuth, and elevation. Because Trinnov knows the intended placement of the various sounds within the audio track, they can "remap" the sound objects from the theory of the audio track to the reality of your specific room by using the two or three nearest speakers to create a phantom image of the sound where it should be. While 2D remapping primarily deals with the horizontal plane, 3D remapping manages both azimuth and elevation.

Unique bass management

Trinnov offers the most sophisticated solution on the market when it comes to managing low frequencies. With its Intermediate Bass Management system, you can, of course, define for each channel how one or more subwoofers should reproduce the lower part of the spectrum. But it goes even further: it allows you to manage the low frequencies of a small speaker relative to the nearest, more powerful speaker. This gives you complete control over crossover frequencies, filter type, slope, and even where the redirected bass is reproduced.

Trinnov has collaborated for years with some of the most respected brands and integrators in the field, resulting in work on some of the most ambitious home theater projects of the last decade. The Altitude16 can do many wonderful things that no other processor can, because it doesn't rely on the capabilities of a mass-market DSP chip. It offers a controlled signal path from start to finish.

The Altitude16 can reproduce up to 16 discrete information channels and is equipped with Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D, and DTS:X immersive audio decoders. It supports up to 16 outputs and natively processes high-resolution 24/96 audio, offers active four-way crossovers, and has no limitation on subwoofer outputs.
