The Clearaudio Innovation drive is optionally available in black acrylic or plywood and aluminum. We would be happy to recommend a tonearm and the matching pickup system for this unique drive.
In order to keep the speed constant, the innovative motor control of the Clearaudio Innovation was equipped with the sensor-based control electronics OSC (Optical Speed Control). This means that clearaudio achieves synchronization values that have only been achieved by record cutting machines worldwide - a basic requirement for optimal playback. In connection with the high torque of the DC motor used here, a rock-solid calmness of the sound is achieved - this is how superior quality, sophisticated engineering sounds. The total of 85 millimeter thick platter made of highly compressed 70mm plastic and a 15 millimeter thick stainless steel platter rests on a CMB ceramic magnetic bearing that was developed and patented by clearaudio. The speed of rotation is conveniently selected at the push of a button. There is also the option of installing a second tonearm.
