Is a headphone amplifier with a wide range of connection options, including balanced inputs and outputs, so that almost all types of headphones can deliver an exceptional, personalized listening experience.
The MHA200 AC offers various options for connecting the headphones:
A pair of three-pin XLR connectors for balanced two-channel outputs
A four-pin XLR connector for balanced stereo output
The classic 6.25mm stereo headphone jack.
Uses a pair of McIntosh Unity Coupled Circuit output transformers for a pristine audio signal.
The Unity Coupled Circuit transformers have been optimized for four headphone impedance ranges (32-100, 100-250, 250-600 and 600-1000 ohms at 500 mW), so that practically every headphone delivers the legendary McIntosh sound quality and performance receives.
A pair of 12AT7 and 12BH7A double triodes each serve as the preamp tubes.
Thanks to the small dimensions of the MHA200 of only 15.6 cm (width) and 23.2 cm (depth) and its symmetrical inputs, it can be ideally placed at the preferred listening position. Sufficiently long, symmetrical audio cables connect it to the central audio system.
