In 1972, Technics launched the SL-1200, a series originally designed for high-precision hi-fi playback. To mark the brand's 55th anniversary, the limited special edition of the SL-1200M7G (based on the MK7 platform) combines this historical foundation with modern manufacturing standards and digital control technology:
Ironless direct drive: By eliminating an iron core in the stator, the so-called cogging torque is completely eliminated. The result is a smooth, constant speed profile without micro-fluctuations.
Digital motor control: The high-precision control of the motor guarantees absolute stability in speed control and enables precise adjustment options for starting and braking dynamics.
Height-adjustable S-shaped tonearm: The proven aluminum construction ensures high tracking accuracy and minimal tracking errors. The integrated height adjustment allows for precise alignment of the Vertical Tracking Angle (VTA) for different cartridge systems.
Extended functionality: Equipped with reverse-play functionality for enhanced performance capabilities and flexible deployment scenarios.
