The AH-D9200 headphones feature the unique Japanese-made FreeEdge drivers with a diameter of 50mm. Made from materials selected for their stiffness and low mass, the unique FreeEdge drivers neutralize unwanted resonances in the membrane and thus deliver a detailed, precise sound. The drivers are mounted on anti-vibration mounts made of resin. Soft and pliable surrounding materials facilitate the movement response of the drivers to the music signal without the risk of bending or distortion. All of this serves to produce the best possible, purest sound.

Neodymium magnet with more than 1 Tesla
The neodymium magnet is made of an alloy that contains iron and boron in addition to the rare earth element neodymium. Despite its relatively small size, the sheer strength of the magnet drives the diaphragm with less distortion and reduces vibration to a significant extent.

Exclusive ear shells made from Japanese bamboo
Japanese bamboo was chosen because of its unique vibration-dampening properties. The earshells made from it reduce unwanted resonances and reproduce a natural, detailed sound that is reminiscent of a concert hall. Due to the distinctive grain of the bamboo, no two pair of AH-D9200 headphones are the same. The headphones are handcrafted at Denon's Shirakawa Audio Works in Japan.
