Powerful performance and precision for your home theater
The Fathom® SA-600W subwoofer amplifier/processor from JL Audio offers an impressive combination of power, flexibility and precision, designed specifically for demanding home theater and hi-fi systems. With a host of advanced features and a robust amplifier section, the SA-600W is the ideal choice for controlling a customized subwoofer system. It impresses with its ability to deliver up to 600 watts of continuous power while ensuring premium sound quality.
Powerful and efficient amplifier technology
The Fathom® SA-600W features state-of-the-art switching power supply technology that, together with proprietary Class-D amplifier topology, ensures efficient and stable performance. This technology allows the amplifier to deliver impressive output power while consuming less power. Thanks to the high efficiency of the Class-D design, the amplifier stays cool even during extended periods of use, ensuring consistent performance without loss of quality.
Versatile signal processing and easy operation
One of the outstanding features of the SA-600W is its extensive signal processing section. The amplifier offers an intuitive user interface with an LCD display that allows detailed control of the integrated functions. Key features include a two-channel active crossover that can control both the subwoofer output and the high-pass filtered line outputs for the main speakers. This flexibility allows the SA-600W to be used optimally in both stereo and multi-channel systems.
Another highlight is the integrated ELF (Extreme Low Frequency) trim function, which allows the bass reproduction of the subwoofer to be precisely adjusted to the room. With this function, the user can lower the frequency response at 25 Hz by up to -12 dB or raise it by up to +3 dB to achieve optimal bass reproduction.
Digital Automatic Room Optimization (DARO)
JL Audio's exclusive DARO (Digital Automatic Room Optimization) technology is a powerful feature that automatically measures room acoustics and optimizes the bass response of the subwoofer. This feature is particularly useful because the placement of the subwoofer in a room has a significant impact on sound quality. Thanks to DARO, you can place the subwoofer virtually anywhere in the room and still enjoy smooth and balanced bass response.
The calibration process is extremely simple: connect the optional JL Audio Calibration Microphone (CAL-MIC1, sold separately) to the amplifier, place the microphone at your listening position and press the calibration button. Within a few minutes, the system will automatically optimize the frequency response of the subwoofer without the need for additional hardware or complex software.
High-quality audio circuits for best sound quality
JL Audio paid particular attention to sound quality when developing the SA-600W. The amplifier section uses discrete control circuits and a unique feedback loop design that allows for excellent power regulation and a high damping factor. This ensures precise control of speaker movements and clear, clean bass reproduction.
The integration of these high-quality technologies into the SA-600W ensures that the amplifier offers superior performance that will satisfy even the most demanding audiophiles. The result is an amplifier that combines the benefits of Class D technology - such as high efficiency - with a sound quality normally only achieved by Class A/B amplifiers.
Easy installation and versatile mounting options
The Fathom® SA-600W is designed to allow for flexible installation. Thanks to its compact dimensions, it can be easily installed in a rack or placed on a table. For rack installation, it is particularly space-saving with a height of only 44 mm, while still offering the full performance of a high-performance amplifier.
In addition, the SA-600W has a range of connection options that allow easy integration into existing audio and home theater systems. It offers both high-level and low-level inputs, making it easy to connect to various signal sources. In addition, the amplifier can be operated wirelessly with the optional JLink™ transmitter/receiver system, which offers even more flexibility during installation.
The Fathom® SA-600W offers an impressive blend of power, flexibility and advanced technology, making it an ideal choice for any demanding home theater or hi-fi system.
