The Pro-Ject Stream Box RS is a device that allows you to retrieve music files from your home network and play them on your hi-fi system. The Pro-Ject Stream Box RS has a D/A converter and is therefore a fully equipped streaming player. Such devices are often called streaming clients, but there are also streaming clients without a D/A converter on board, so-called streaming bridges.
The Pro-Ject Stream Box RS is easily integrated into the network via LAN or WLAN. In order to listen to music with the Pro-Ject Stream Box RS, it must be stored as digital data on a local server that is also connected to the home network. Even a normal PC or Mac can be configured as a server to make the music stored on it available in the home network. But there are also other types of servers, such as so-called NAS (Network Attached Storage), which independently provide storage space and the data stored on it in the network. The separate high-end power supply unit Power Box RS Uni 1-way enables even better sound quality as an upgrade option.
In addition, the Stream Box RS can stream music from the Internet (Spotify, Tidal, radio stations with vTuner) or read music from directly connected USB storage devices.
