Sonoro Streamer

sonoro STREAMER – Compact Hi-Res Network Streamer

The sonoro STREAMER is a highly integrated network player and preamplifier solution for modernizing existing analog hi-fi systems, for directly operating active loudspeakers (e.g., studio monitors), or for integration into systems with external multi-channel power amplifiers. The device is designed for both home use and professional 19" rack installations.

Signal processing & preamplifier

• Digital-to-analog conversion: An ESS SABRE DAC handles the precise digital signal processing for all analog outputs. The sound tuning was developed by the manufacturer in collaboration with audio engineer Rainer Finck.
• PureGain technology: The digital volume control reduces the background noise by 20 dB compared to conventional digital attenuators.

Tone control & DSP:

• Bass, treble and balance are manually adjustable.
• The Advance mode provides a 7-band equalizer and enhanced bass management.
• An adaptive loudness function and specific EQ presets for sonoro speakers are integrated.

Streaming & Network Integration

• Protocols & Services: The streamer natively supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music, and Deezer. Wireless streaming is also possible via Apple AirPlay and Google Cast.
• sonoro Multiroom (Audio-over-IP): The wired Audio-over-IP technology enables the synchronous and lossless integration of up to 32 devices of the latest sonoro generation (e.g. MAESTRO Quantum, MEISTERSTÜCK Gen.2, AVATON) via the local network – optionally individually or in zones.

Smart Home & TV Integration

• Smart Home Integration: Seamless connection to systems from Busch-Jaeger as well as KNX-based controls (including Gira, Jung) for controlling volume, sources and scenes via wall switches or touch panels.
• TV connectivity: HDMI ARC/eARC with CEC support allows volume control and synchronous on/off switching directly via the TV remote control.

Connections & Interfaces

• Digital inputs: HDMI ARC, optical digital input (Toslink).
• Analog & USB inputs: AUX-In (3.5 mm / RCA), USB-A interface.
• Outputs: Line-Out, Pre-Out, Sub-Out (for active subwoofers) and optical digital output.
• Control & Network: LAN connection (RJ45), 12V trigger output for automatic switching on of external power amplifiers.

System & rack integration (19' installation)

• Design: Two devices can be mounted side-by-side in a 19' rack tray (also in combination with the sonoro AMPLIFIER).
• System display: Shows room names and device assignments directly on the front panel – also in standby mode if desired.
• Service: A reboot button integrated on the front allows the device to be restarted without removing it from the rack.
