The Gold Note PSU-1250 is a high-quality external power supply for components of the Gold Note 1000 series and was developed to complement their internal power supply in a particularly sophisticated manner. With its complex 7-transformer configuration, multiple voltage regulators, and elaborate filtering technology, the PSU-1250 creates optimal conditions for a stable and interference-free power supply for demanding audio electronics.

The system employs a sophisticated power supply with a total of seven transformers. Four transformers handle the actual power supply, while others are used for galvanic isolation and inductive filtering. The system is complemented by seven low-noise voltage regulators and a dual-choke hybrid topology.

This combination is designed to effectively reduce interference from the power grid and ensure a particularly consistent power supply to the connected components. Sensitive analog and digital circuits especially benefit from the cleanest and most stable power supply possible. The PSU-1250 thus creates an optimized operating environment for high-quality components such as the Gold Note PH-1000, DS-1000 EVO, or P-1000.

A key component of the concept is the galvanic isolation of the audio circuitry. This reduces unwanted interference and noise within the power supply. The high mains noise and common-mode rejection ratios of over 80 dB each underscore the design's consistent focus on minimizing interference.

The PSU-1250 also offers ample reserves in dynamic situations. Its specified dynamic output of over 300 watts ensures a fast and stable supply of the required power. The output voltage stability of 0.05% further supports a consistently precise power supply for the connected audio electronics.

In practice, the advantage of such an external power supply is most evident in the performance of the connected components. The sound reproduction can appear more structured and smoother, while fine details remain more easily discernible. Spatial imaging can also benefit from a more stable power supply, resulting in a clearer and more organized overall sound. Additionally, the absolute phase can be switched directly on the device between 0° and 180°. The robust, brushed aluminum housing complements the high-end Gold Note design and is available in black, silver, and gold. With a width of approximately 430 mm, the PSU-1250 integrates seamlessly into full-fledged high-end systems and is a perfect complement to the larger components of the 1000 series.

Within the Gold Note system, the PSU-1250 serves as a particularly powerful external power supply. While the PST-10 is specifically designed for turntables and the PSU-10 and PSU-10 EVO power specific components, the PSU-1250 is aimed at the demanding devices of the 1000 series. This makes it particularly suitable for larger high-end systems where a highly stable and interference-free power supply is essential.
