Audio Physic Classic On-Wall 2
For this to work, however, these speakers must meet the highest standards, both technically and aesthetically. Like the Classic On-Wall 2, which is equipped with all the technical refinements of the Classic series and, with its elegant glass finish, can be ideally combined with flat-screen TVs of all sizes. An unobtrusive solution for anyone who wants to combine excellent sound with a harmonious ambiance.
It goes without saying that the Classic On-Wall 2 was developed with the same profound expertise as all Audio Physic loudspeakers. The On-Wall 2 uses the same drivers as the Classic Compact 2 – a powerful mid-woofer with a woven fiberglass cone, fixed phase plug, and unique double-basket technology, as well as a precisely tuned tweeter with a fabric dome. This tweeter is also positioned in a horn-like waveguide, which ensures a seamless transition between midrange and treble frequencies, thus enabling a wide, open, and precise spatial imaging.
Like its larger siblings in the Classic series, the On-Wall 2 also inherits the sophisticated sandwich construction of its cabinet, made from three different materials. Each layer possesses distinct damping properties, resulting in an exemplary solid cabinet that is virtually immune to partial vibrations and resonances. And, of course, the Classic On-Wall 2 also features Audio Physics' sophisticated crossover technology and high-quality WBT terminals from the nextgen® series.
This combination of innovative technologies allows the Classic On-Wall 2 to perform like a much larger speaker despite its slim appearance. Integrated wall brackets on the back allow for both vertical and horizontal mounting and create a precisely defined distance between the back and the wall, guaranteeing optimal bass reproduction.
In very large rooms, or when the Classic On-Wall 2 is to be combined with other speakers from the Classic range to form a surround system, our Luna subwoofer can also provide additional low bass support.
Features: 2-way principle
In a 2-way loudspeaker, two different speaker drivers share the frequency response – one (or often two in the case of center speakers) mid-bass driver and one tweeter. The crossover frequency is typically set between 2000 Hz and 3000 Hz.
VCT – Vibration Control Terminal
Unwanted vibrations disrupt the pristine signal flow at every point in the transmission chain. Since AUDIO PHYSIC has declared war on sound-degrading vibrations and resonances of any kind, the elaborately chassis-decoupled VIBRATION CONTROL TERMINAL (VCT) was developed.
