This two-way speaker takes our compact speaker designs to a new level of performance with the true musicality that is Lyngdorf Audio. The focus on dynamic performance resulted in a closed cabinet design with a large passive unit that suppresses the internal resonant frequency and allows deep bass from this sleek, low profile cabinet.

Designed for wall mounting, the FR-1 is compact and solid, underscoring the focus on dynamic music reproduction without sacrificing natural timbre. The depth of the cabinet has been kept to a minimum to ensure discreet placement and to keep the drivers as close to the wall as possible for optimal coupling to the room.

Plays great even without a subwoofer

With the new powerful 6.5? driver and the additional power of the passive unit, the FR-1 does not require the support of a subwoofer. The driver is equipped with a powerful magnet and together with the supporting 8? passive section, the low-frequency performance in such a small package is unmatched. Vocals are exceptionally open and transients are tight and clean, making the FR-1 the optimal choice for an elegant home media installation.

If you want to take the performance even further, a set of Lyngdorf BW-2 woofers is the perfect complement. This gives you even deeper bass and better overall performance.

Designed with an impressive soundstage
The speaker cones are made from lightweight and stiff aluminum and feature a single, clearly defined breaking point that can be easily counteracted in the internal filters. The tweeter with a textile fabric dome from the Lyngdorf MH-2 has been reworked to match the higher performance and impresses with its high sensitivity and impressive sound.
