Alva MC - Powerful Moving Coil Pickup
With the exposed needle carrier, the elliptical needle and the possibility to present breathtaking musical details, our technicians have created the powerful moving coil pickup called Alva MC and round off the Alva TT perfectly. The Alva MC inspires with a patterned knurling, while the model with its metallic gray finish takes up the look of both the Alva TT and our Edge product range. We're celebrating 50 years of audio innovation and the 68 ° angle that extends from the surface to the bottom is a reminder of our founding in 1968.
Powerful moving coil pickup
With the help of the powerful moving coil pickup, we can deliver better details and higher gain during playback.
Exposed needle carrier
The Alva MC has an exposed needle carrier. This reduces unwanted echoes and vibrations, which are often a disadvantage in closed models.
Elliptical needle
The Alva MC comes up with an elliptical needle that is anchored in an aluminum needle carrier and provides an improved frequency response with less distortion.
Easily and quickly
Compared to many of its moving magnet (MM) counterparts, the Alva MC is lighter and more responsive to the grooves on the record, allowing it to reproduce more musical detail.

The bespoke Cambridge Audio design in metallic gray takes on the patterned knurling that was popular with our Edge range, while the 68 ° angle that extends from the top to the bottom dates back to our founding in 1968 remind.
