The belt-driven Alva ST features a factory-installed pickup that will have you playing records in minutes, plus high-resolution Bluetooth streaming and an onboard phono preamp that you can switch between freely.

King of Comfort

The Alva ST is designed for people who want to hear records of exceptional quality - without having to select or install additional components. The Alva ST is easy to use because the perfectly tuned pickup is already pre-installed at the factory. In addition, it can be connected to almost any audio system, because our Alva ST has a switchable integrated phono preamp. And that's not all: you can also connect it wirelessly to Bluetooth speaker systems.

Integrated phono preamp

The Alva ST features an integrated phono preamp, designed in the vein of our award-winning Alva Duo, that brings out incredible detail from your vinyl records. So you can connect the Alva ST to any amplifier or compatible speaker system. The system's phono preamp can also be disabled - ideal if your amp already has its own, or you want to keep the option open to upgrade.

Factory pre-installed MM cartridge

After hours of listening, Cambridge Audio have settled on Audio Technica's moving magnet cartridge, which comes factory fitted to the Alva ST. With no complicated setup, you can be playing records in minutes. The elliptical stylus offers a larger contact area with the grooves of your records, ensuring accurate reproduction of information and, of course, great-sounding music.

The Alva ST uses the proven method of belt drive complemented by electronic engine speed control. After you attach the strap for the first time, you no longer need to look under the platter. The rotation speed is adjusted via 2 handy electronic buttons on the ST's aluminum surface - so you can easily switch between playing albums and singles.

The Alva ST's platter is made from die-cast aluminum and is CNC machined to ensure an absolutely flat and smooth surface. The 17mm high aluminum platter is covered with a 5mm thick rubber mat - a combination proven to reduce unwanted resonance.

Brand new tonearm

After hours of testing, Cambridge Audio engineers have selected a new high-mass, low-resonance tonearm for the Alva TT V2 and Alva ST. By minimizing the resonance frequencies and in combination with the pickup, it gets the maximum of details out of your records. A detachable die-cast aluminum pickup head makes it easy to swap out the pickup, which can then be adjusted with even more precision thanks to a new anti-skating knob.

Design for life

You have a record collection for life, so why not a record player too? The Alva ST was designed with this in mind. It consists of a 1 mm thick aluminum plate and an EVA layer that dampens vibrations and rests on an MDF board. It weighs an impressive 9 kg and is housed in a composite chassis. Not only is it reassuringly solid, but it also deadens sound.

With a metallic gray aluminum top and a matte black base that flows into our trademark floating wedge base, the Alva ST shares distinctive Cambridge minimalist style. It combines perfectly with the All-in-One Evo amplifiers. Designed and made in London with an emphasis on classic, timeless style.

Thanks to the hinged dust cover, the finely balanced tonearm and aluminum platter of your new Alva turntable remain pristine even after playing your favorite records. It's easy to raise, lower, remove and reattach - the choice is yours.
