The 111 Musiccenter is a true all-rounder. Its capabilities extend far beyond the function of a server. Thanks to its fully-fledged preamplifier section and integrated reference-level D/A converter, it can serve as the central element of your music system. Music lovers have three analog and six digital inputs at their disposal for connecting a wide variety of sources. The preamplifier section is galvanically isolated from the server section to prevent any potential interference from the server unit affecting the analog section with its integrated D/A conversion. Like all Burmester preamplifiers, it features a balanced circuit design and a fully DC-coupled signal path without any interfering coupling capacitors. The sophisticated analog X-Amp2 output stages receive their signal from a reference D/A converter section.
The new Reference Line Musiccenter impresses not only with its outstanding sound quality, but above all with its exceptionally fast processing of even very large amounts of data. The desired track is ready to play in fractions of a second. The local player can be controlled via the device itself, a web browser, or a specially developed Burmester app on the iPad®. Streaming is also possible via Wi-Fi. An existing CD collection can be ripped in the highest possible quality using the integrated slot drive. Missing album art and track information are automatically added when compared to the database.
With forward error correction (FEC) of only a few seconds in audio CD drives, older or scratched CDs can result in an audio data stream containing sporadic dropouts. Without appropriate countermeasures, these glitches can detract from the listening experience. Since reading or ripping a CD (unlike playback) does not require real-time processing, allowing the audio data to be read multiple times, the Burmester Musiccenter is able to process this data at the highest resolution and quality, reconstructing it into a data stream free of these defects.
Your valuable music data is protected by two mirrored 3TB hard drives. One drive serves as the storage location for your music library, while the second simultaneously stores the same information to ensure your data is always backed up in the event of a hard drive failure. The system drive is a solid-state drive (SSD), and future upgrades to SSD solutions are planned for the data storage drives as well. Your data is also safe during a power outage. Thanks to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), the server shuts down in a controlled manner, providing the best possible protection for your stored music and system stability.
