The DALI SONIK CINEMA was specifically designed for demanding home cinema applications where speech intelligibility, precision, and sonic unity play a central role. As a versatile speaker within the SONIK series, it is equally suitable as a center, front, or surround speaker and integrates seamlessly into a wide variety of multi-channel setups.

Thanks to its balanced tuning and the use of identical technologies as in the SONIK series floorstanding and bookshelf speakers, the SONIK CINEMA ensures that film sound, music and effects are always reproduced coherently, realistically and without sonic breaks.

Designed for maximum speech intelligibility in home cinema

One of the most important tasks of a home cinema speaker is the clear and intelligible reproduction of dialogue. The SONIK CINEMA was designed precisely for this purpose. Voices are focused precisely, reproduced naturally, and remain clearly audible even in complex film scenes.

The sound reproduction never sounds intrusive or artificially emphasized. Rather, the speaker impresses with a well-balanced tonal presentation that convincingly renders both quiet dialogue passages and dynamic effects.

Flexible LCR usage for individual room concepts

The SONIK CINEMA is distinguished by its exceptional flexibility. It can be used horizontally as a center speaker or vertically as a left or right front channel. This LCR capability allows for optimal adaptation to different room sizes, furniture layouts, and screen or TV positions.

The SONIK CINEMA also integrates harmoniously into multi-channel systems as a surround speaker, ensuring precise spatial imaging. Regardless of its orientation, the sound performance remains consistent and balanced.

Precise treble thanks to 29 mm low-loss soft dome tweeters

In the high-frequency range, the SONIK CINEMA uses a 29 mm low-loss soft-dome tweeter, specifically designed for fine detail resolution and low distortion. This tweeter ensures a clear, open reproduction of voices, subtle sounds, and atmospheric details.

Even at higher volumes, the treble remains clean, controlled, and free of harshness. This is particularly advantageous in center speaker mode, as speech remains clear and intelligible at all times.

Clarity-Cone™ technology for natural mids

The two 5¼-inch woofers/midrange drivers of the SONIK CINEMA are based on the proven Clarity-Cone™ technology. The combination of paper and wood fiber cones offers an optimal balance of low weight, high rigidity, and effective resonance control.

This results in particularly natural midrange frequencies that reproduce voices and instruments realistically and without distortion. The transition between midrange and treble is homogeneous and seamless, leading to a cohesive and believable sound image.

SMC™ Essential – reduced distortion for clean sound

Like all models in the SONIK series, the SONIK CINEMA also utilizes the patented SMC™ Essential Magnet System. The use of SMC™ material in the direct working area of the voice coil significantly reduces distortion and improves the linearity of the drive.

Hysteresis and eddy current losses are minimized, resulting in relaxed, detailed, and controlled midrange reproduction. This contributes to a pleasant, fatigue-free listening experience, especially during extended movie sessions.

Seamless integration into SONIK multi-channel systems

The SONIK CINEMA is sonically precisely matched to the other speakers in the SONIK series. In combination with floorstanding speakers such as the SONIK 5, 7, or 9, it creates a homogeneous sound field where transitions between front, center, and surround channels appear seamless and realistic.

This sonic coherence is essential for an immersive home cinema experience and ensures that effects, dialogues and music are credibly placed in the room.
