Its ultra-compact speaker design was engineered to ensure that bass performance, detail resolution, and spatial imaging are optimally balanced with the cabinet size. Despite its compact dimensions, it produces a surprisingly full sound with clear highs, natural mids, and a remarkable bass foundation for its size.

High-quality driver technology for natural sound reproduction

A 29 mm ultra-light soft-dome tweeter is used in the high-frequency range. This tweeter is designed for low-loss operation and enables precise, fine resolution of the high frequencies. Voices, subtle sonic details, and overtones are reproduced clearly and with differentiation, without sounding harsh or exaggerated.

The low and midrange frequencies are handled by a 5¼-inch driver featuring Clarity-Cone™ technology. The diaphragm is constructed from a special paper and wood fiber blend, offering high rigidity while remaining lightweight. This effectively controls resonances, resulting in exceptionally clean and unadulterated midrange reproduction. Vocals and instruments sound realistic and balanced, with a seamless transition to the tweeter.

Clarity-Cone™ Technology – Unadulterated Voices and Midrange

The Clarity-Cone™ technology is inspired by DALI KORE technology and specifically designed for natural and coherent sound reproduction. Controlled diaphragm movement creates a smooth transition between the individual frequency ranges. You'll particularly benefit from realistic, uncolored vocal reproduction in the upper midrange.

Especially with vocals, acoustic instruments, or dialogue, this tuning ensures that content sounds authentic and vibrant. The SONIK 1 clearly brings out details without disrupting the overall sound balance.

SMC™ Essential Magnet System – less distortion, more detail

Another key component of the SONIK 1 is the SMC™ Essential magnet system. This system utilizes a patented magnet material that specifically reduces distortion and improves the linearity of the drive. A ferrite ring surrounds a hybrid iron-SMC™ pole piece, positioning the SMC™ material directly within the working area of the voice coil.

This design minimizes hysteresis and eddy current losses, ensuring clean, relaxed midrange reproduction. The result is a detailed, controlled sound with high transparency, even in complex musical passages.
