With the AudioQuest-Q-Foot you can breathe new life into your system. It dampens unwanted vibrations and lets you dive deeper and further into the music. We have found that the Q-Foot works particularly effectively at one point: under a rotating system, be it a disc player, record player or a hard drive / computer combination. Rotating mechanics do not particularly like their own vibrations - and neither do strange ones.

The shape of the foot is crucial here. The hole in the middle increases the ductility and the horizontal surface. The additional vertical surface allows more material movement - with the result that more kinetic energy can be dissipated (converted into heat). The damping behavior of the Q-Foot is usually more important than the decoupling. even if the frequency-independent ability to both dampen and decouple makes the Q-Foot so effective and universally usable. Q-Foots can be used effectively in many situations. However, particular care must be taken to ensure that the Q-Foot is not compressed so much under a record player or other device that is exceptionally sensitive that it loses its elasticity. It is always more effective to have one last reserve left - and in some applications a bit more reserve is required.
