Gold Note Pianosa – High-end turntable with resonance-optimized chassis and precise motor control

The Gold Note Pianosa is an audiophile high-end turntable from Italy that translates numerous technical advantages from Gold Note's flagship reference turntables into a more compact and living-room-friendly design. High-quality materials, precise manufacturing, and a resonance-optimized construction combine with elegant Italian design. As a premium turntable, the Pianosa provides an excellent foundation for demanding vinyl systems and can be specifically tailored to the individual requirements of your hi-fi setup.

The Pianosa's design is based on the Italian manufacturer's larger turntables. Gold Note combines traditional material aesthetics with modern high-end technology. The multi-layered chassis, made of wood, acrylic, and aluminum, provides a stable mechanical foundation and effectively controls unwanted resonances. This results in remarkable mechanical quietness, while the elegant finishes underscore its premium character.

A particular strength of the Gold Note Pianosa lies in its precise and harmonious drive technology. The electronically controlled 12-volt synchronous motor drives the platter via a precise belt drive, enabling playback at 33 and 45 RPM. The electronic motor control ensures stable and consistent rotation, thus forming an important basis for precise record playback. With wow and flutter of less than 0.1% and a rumble level of -80 dB, the Pianosa offers excellent prerequisites for quiet and interference-free playback.

For bearings, Gold Note employs the Split-Spindle™ design with a ceramic ball. The platter combines POM and aluminum, creating a solid, low-resonance base for the record. The carefully matched mechanical components ensure smooth rotation and contribute to the Pianosa's musically cohesive, precise, and controlled performance.

The Gold Note Pianosa also offers interesting possibilities for further development in terms of power supply. An optional PST-1 or PST-10 external power supply allows for further optimization of the motor control and even better isolation from external interference. The PST-10, in particular, offers a high-quality way to further enhance the already precise motor stability of the drive. This ensures that the Pianosa remains appealing in the long term and can grow with the capabilities of the rest of your hi-fi system.

Sonically, the Gold Note Pianosa presents itself as open, fluid, balanced, and exceptionally musical. Its reproduction is effortless and natural, without sacrificing precision. Instead of overemphasizing individual details, the turntable combines clean resolution with a coherent musical context.

Voices and acoustic instruments sound particularly natural. Vocals possess body and expression, while guitars, piano, strings, and wind instruments are reproduced with believable timbres. The stable mechanical foundation supports a clean rendering of the finest nuances without the sound appearing overly cold or harsh.

In the bass range, the Pianosa impresses with control, agility, and a good sense of rhythm. Low frequencies remain structured and precise without sounding unnecessarily heavy. At the same time, the turntable retains the lightness and fluidity that decisively shape its musical character.

The spatial representation is also balanced and believable. Instruments are positioned with clarity and detach pleasantly from the speakers. The soundstage appears cohesive and natural, without being artificially inflated or spectacularly staged. It is precisely this combination of spatial order, precision, and musical unity that makes the Pianosa a versatile turntable for a wide range of musical genres.

Thanks to its high-quality construction, the Gold Note Pianosa is ideally suited for ambitious vinyl systems that demand a precise mechanical foundation and a musically balanced character. The resonance-optimized multi-layer construction, the stable POM/aluminum platter, and the electronically controlled motor combine to create the conditions for high-quality record playback.

The high-quality material selection combines timeless aesthetics with the technical consistency for which Gold Note is known.

With its resonance-optimized construction, precision bearing, electronically controlled synchronous motor, and optional PST-1 and PST-10 power supplies, the Gold Note Pianosa offers a compelling platform for high-quality vinyl playback. Made in Italy represents the combination of meticulous craftsmanship, sophisticated mechanics, and distinctive Italian design.
