Gold Note Valore 425 PLUS – High-end turntable with B-5 tonearm and resonance-optimized chassis
The Gold Note Valore 425 PLUS combines key technologies from the Italian Gold Note reference turntables with a compact, elegant, and exceptionally user-friendly design. Despite its slim profile, this high-quality turntable boasts uncompromising mechanical precision, effective resonance control, and electronically adjustable speed control. The result is a mature, rhythmic, and pleasantly effortless sound that masterfully reproduces a wide range of musical genres.
At the heart of the design is the 30 mm thick, resonance-optimized HDF chassis. This solid base reduces unwanted vibrations and provides the necessary mechanical stability for precise tracking. The design is complemented by the 60 mm precision bearing and spindle system familiar from the larger Gold Note turntables. The Split-Spindle™ design and the high-quality bearing ensure exceptionally smooth operation and contribute to the controlled playback of the Valore 425 PLUS.
A 12V high-torque synchronous motor provides the drive. Electronic speed control allows for precise speed adjustment and supports stable playback at 33 and 45 rpm. Fine-tuning of ±0.1% allows the speed to be adjusted exactly to individual requirements. The selected settings are saved electronically, ensuring that the adjustments are permanently available.
The 23 mm thick POM platter provides a stable and resonance-free base for the record. Together with the precise bearing and drive system, this creates a smooth mechanical platform on which the cartridge can perform to its full potential. The specially tuned 70-Shorter NBR belt ensures consistent power transmission from the motor to the platter.
Gold Note equips the Valore 425 PLUS with the B-5 9-inch precision tonearm as standard. This tonearm is based on the larger B-5.1 and forms a high-quality combination with the turntable. A transparent acrylic dust cover is also included, reliably protecting the turntable from dust. It can be removed if needed, allowing the turntable to be used without the cover.
Furthermore, the Gold Note Valore 425 PLUS offers attractive upgrade options. The optional B-5.1 precision tonearm allows for further refinement of the tonearm section. The external power supply can also be optimized via PST-1 or PST-10, although compatibility depends on the specific serial number of the turntable. This ensures the Valore 425 PLUS remains relevant in the long term and can be specifically adapted to higher-end components.
Sonically, the Gold Note Valore 425 PLUS presents itself as lively, open, and remarkably relaxed. The turntable combines precision with a natural musical flow, allowing even complex passages to sound confident and clear. Instead of overemphasizing individual details, it creates a cohesive sound image with good balance and a convincing sense of rhythm.
The turntable's harmonious tuning is particularly evident in acoustic recordings. Voices sound natural and full-bodied, while instruments remain clearly separated. Subtly nuanced timbres are rendered with differentiation, without the playback sounding analytical or strained.
In the low-frequency range, the Valore 425 PLUS impresses with control and rhythmic precision. Bass frequencies possess ample foundation and structure, yet remain agile and well-integrated. Fast bass lines and rhythmically demanding passages are reproduced with clarity and precision.
The turntable also delivers a convincing spatial representation. Instruments within the recording are easy to follow and are positioned in the soundstage with pleasing openness. The playback conveys sufficient depth and width without sounding artificially enlarged.
The Valore 425 PLUS derives its special appeal from the combination of mechanical quietness, musical flow, and uncomplicated operation. It offers a mature sound character without being unnecessarily complicated, making both demanding listening sessions and everyday music listening particularly enjoyable.
The elegant design reinforces this claim. Depending on the version, the turntable is available in walnut, matte black, silver foil, acrylic, or white. Its clean proportions and high-quality materials make it a stylish addition to both modern and classic hi-fi systems.
With its resonance-optimized construction, precision bearing, electronically controlled synchronous motor, and standard B-5 tonearm, the Gold Note Valore 425 PLUS offers a compelling technical foundation for high-quality vinyl playback. The optional upgrades with B-5.1, PST-1, and PST-10 open up further possibilities for future development. Made in Italy represents the combination of meticulous manufacturing, sophisticated mechanics, and distinctive Italian design.
