The creeping build-up of static is an insidious problem that undermines the performance of all audio and AV systems, flattening perspectives, dulling colors, and inhibiting dynamics. Like many other problems that you can't see, static is a major problem for most audio and video enthusiasts don't recognize it. We all know it exists, but we either ignore its effects or just give up because it's too difficult to deal with.

Nordost has been aware of this problem for many years, especially with regard to the impact of static electricity on cable performance. To counteract this, Eco 3X Anti-Static Treatment was developed, a liquid that can be wiped onto the surface of cables. to dissipate existing static and prevent future buildup. The effects are easily audible, with a dramatic increase in the sense of life and presence, greater transparency, wider dynamics and richer colors.

However, the benefits of electrostatic charging are not limited to the performance of cables.
