Despite slight criticism of the recording and the fact that Mahler's 5th Symphony has already been performed and recorded many times, Sir Simon's Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra has produced a recording of which one can say: Even Mahler is suitable for motivated classical music beginners, if you do it right.
Since August 2024, the recording has been available for the first time on vinyl as a double LP.
