The development goal for the B80 was to create an acoustically outstanding and aesthetically pleasing loudspeaker system that, despite its substantial size, could be integrated into almost any living environment. For many years, the B80 and B80MKII enjoyed great popularity due to their high quality. We have secured the few remaining models for you. With one special feature: The B80 MKII is available from us in high-gloss white.
Compared to its predecessor, the B80 MK2, the B80 MK2 features an improved crossover, thereby expanding the tonal spectrum in the bass range. The ribbon tweeter also received a new waveguide, resulting in a wider spatial dispersion of the overtones and an even silkier sound. The look, feel, and proven diaphragm and magnet technologies have been retained. Likewise, the original B80's high sonic neutrality and its captivating resolution in the reproduction of voices and instruments remain unchanged. Two side-mounted 210 mm woofers with extremely rigid fiberglass cones, combined with above-average excursion and powerful magnets, deliver deep, tight, and precisely defined bass. The midrange drivers, modified to Burmester specifications, impress with their crystal-clear magnesium diaphragms and patented magnet technology for reducing nonlinear distortion. They make the finest musical nuances audible and, when needed, can also unleash unparalleled energy. The ribbon tweeter sets highlights in the highest audible range, because its drive magnet possesses athletic forces that effortlessly set the light and lively Kaladex foil diaphragm into the desired vibrations.
