The basis of the S4700 is a brand new 15" cast frame woofer (2216Nd) with a powerful 3" voice coil with neodymium drive structure and horn-loaded compression drivers.
Midrange and high-frequency reproduction is provided by a pair of titanium diaphragm drivers and a one-piece SonoGlass® dual horn assembly. The Aqua-Plas™ coated titanium diaphragm driver (175Nd-3) is paired with a 90° x 60° Bi-Radial® horn, delivering mid- and high-frequency frequencies with lifelike dynamics and stunning realism, while an ultra-high frequency -Titanium diaphragm compression driver (138Nd) with a 60° x 30° bi-radial horn ensures appropriate spatiality.
High-quality network components and double screw terminal inputs ensure audiophile performance in every application.
The attractive casing made of cherry wood veneer is braced at critical points on the inside and is optimized via a rear port.
The S4700 sounds best in a powerful 2-channel audio system or as an LCR speaker in a multi-channel home theater installation.
