Your 300ICW8 in-wall/in-ceiling loudspeakers have been designed to deliver the most faithful sound reproduction, whether they are used for stereo music or home cinema. They are discreet loudspeakers which blend in perfectly with your walls and ceiling.
This 2-way coaxial loudspeaker is composed of an 8” (21cm) woofer with a Flax cone and an aluminium/magnesium alloy inverted dome tweeter. The 8? woofer features Focal’s exclusive Flax technology, which rivals with the famous W cones used in the Utopia, Sopra and Electra lines. Rigid and very light, these special cones produce a sound which is natural and extremely precise. The tweeter is adjustable and rotatable, so the treble can be adjusted according to the room’s acoustics.
The 300ICW8 loudspeaker is the biggest model in the 300 Series line. Its high sensitivity makes it capable of producing a powerful sound of up to 90dB.

Create an invisible system
Even if the loudspeakers of the 300 Series were designed to reproduce sound as faithful as possible for stereo configurations, they turn out to be also ideal for multichannel applications. It reproduces very precisely the movies’ soundtracks without taking up too much space. These products will blend discreetly with a classic bookshelf or a column loudspeaker system.
The 300ICW loudspeakers from the 300 Series range can also be installed around your TV screen as stereo loudspeakers or center speaker. They are also suitable for an in-ceiling Atmos® application.
So original flax cone
All the speaker driver cones of the 300 SERIES range are made using Flax sandwich technology. Flax is an eco-textile with astounding structural properties: it is light, rigid and well damped for providing greater neutrality of the timbre and better definition.
TNV2 Tweeter developed for these products uses Focal’s exclusive inverted dome technology, allowing for optimal energy transfer and limited directivity.
Perfectly blent with your interior
The magnetic grilles supplied with each product are perfect for quick and easy assembly.
In terms of design, all the products of the 300 Series line come with two types of grilles: a square grille and a circular one, to ensure they blend in perfectly with your interior. Another key aspect of the design is that the grilles are frameless, making them even more discreet and elegant.
EQI - EASY QUICK INSTALL SYSTEM FOR IN-WALL/IN-CEILING LOUDSPEAKERS
Today, quality sound isn’t enough to offer a product which meets all the expectations in this market. That’s why Focal has gone one step further by focusing on two new qualities required by built-in loudspeakers: a discreet design and ease of installation.
No tools required: assembling the products in this line has never been easier. Installation time is kept to a minimum thanks to the EQI. This ingenuous mechanism allows you to install the products without any tools whatsoever.
Each 300 ICW is simply composed of two parts: a mounting frame and a loudspeaker. The mounting frame is fixed to the wall or ceiling using mounting brackets which can be manipulate single-handedly. Once the frame has been fixed securely in place, the loudspeaker can be quickly assembled to the mounting frame thanks to a quarter-turn locking mechanism.
The EQI System is compatible with wall/ceiling from 03/16' to 13/16' (5 to 30mm).
