B&W CT 700 Custom Theater System
With the B&W CT 700 Custom Theater System, you don't compromise on sound quality or home theater enjoyment. Like our best high-end speakers, it is equipped with tweeters based on NautilusT tube technology and a Kevlar chassis. The B&W CT 700 system consists of three universal loudspeaker modules CT7.3, CT7.4 and the compact CT7.5. Three subwoofers with 25cm, 30cm and 38cm paper / Kevlar® cone woofers can be driven by the new Class D amplification electronics SA1000 with 1000 watts for effective deep bass performance. Each model can be integrated harmoniously into your home theater and is versatile enough to be used as front, center and surround speakers. With these speakers you will experience a whole new home theater dimension.
The CTSW12 is a closed passive subwoofer with a 300 mm paper / Kevlar cone woofer and can be combined with the speakers of the CT800 and CT700 series. All CT SW subwoofers have a closed design so that they can be easily installed.
Perhaps it may seem strange to many listeners that a material like paper should be used in such a stable and powerful product as a custom theater subwoofer. Even so, paper plays an essential role in what they hear.
The membranes of our subwoofers CT SW10, CT SW12 and CT SW15 consist of a stable, finely tuned mixture of paper and Kevlar fibers as well as resin. The resin provides the rigidity required to withstand the tremendous physical forces exerted by the voice coil and the pressures created inside the case.
