The Beyerdynamic A 2 is a high-quality headphone amplifier that delivers a powerful and vibrant sound reproduction. It ensures exceptionally faithful reproduction with brilliant highs, authentic mids, and deep, natural bass. It operates with remarkable quietness and control and is suitable for dynamic headphones of varying impedances.
The amplifier features a fully discrete design and uses selected, hand-assembled components to achieve maximum detail and superior sound quality. Two parallel headphone outputs allow for shared listening. Operation is convenient and intuitive, including a remote control for stepless volume adjustment.
Particularly noteworthy are the separate adjustment options for impedance, sensitivity, and different levels of audio sources. This allows for optimal operation of dynamic headphones with an impedance of 16 to 600 ohms, without distortion at high volumes. Additionally, the A 2 features a voltage selector switch for worldwide use with 110–120 V and 220–240 V.
The design is also of high quality. The housing is made of solid, anodized aluminum with rounded edges and no visible screws or rivets. An anthracite-colored glass panel on the top provides a view of the illuminated interior of the device. A sturdy aluminum headphone holder, which can be mounted on the bottom, is also included.
