The Mission 778S is the digital counterpart to the 778X integrated amplifier, expanding the 778 series with a full-fledged, audiophile streaming experience. Its compact half-width format combines iconic retro design with state-of-the-art streaming technology, making it the ideal partner for discerning music lovers.

Intuitive controls and versatile streaming options

Thanks to the dedicated Mission 778S app (iOS and Android), music services such as Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, TuneIn Radio, AirPlay 2, DLNA, and Roon Ready can be controlled directly. Whether wirelessly via Wi-Fi or reliably via Gigabit Ethernet, the 778S ensures uninterrupted, high-resolution music streaming. Local sources such as USB drives, external hard drives, and network shares (SMB/CIFS) are also seamlessly supported.

Precision and sound quality

At the heart of the 778S lies the ESS Sabre ES9038Q2M reference DAC with 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator. All input signals are internally upsampled to 384 kHz (PCM) to minimize digital artifacts and ensure optimal DAC performance. The result is impressive detail, dynamic transients, and a natural, open soundstage.

Five selectable digital filters allow for individual sound shaping, tailored to the music format and personal preferences. High-quality RCA and balanced XLR outputs transmit the full potential of high-resolution music formats such as DSD without limitations. Digital interfaces (optical, coaxial, USB audio out) enable use as a standalone streaming bridge or in combination with other hi-fi components.

Headphone expertise

An integrated headphone amplifier with high impedance compatibility (20–600 ohms) also makes the 778S a complete solution for enjoying demanding headphones, without any external players or preamplifiers.
