The Bluesound Professional B170S is a network-enabled streaming stereo amplifier that offers a comprehensive solution for commercial music systems. The B170S combines a high-quality, low-impedance, constant-voltage stereo amplifier with a BluOS-enabled network music player. The amplifier section of the B170S delivers 2 x 80W of power at 4/8? or 2 x 100W at 70V or 1 x 100W at 100V. This provides enough power for most small to medium-sized rooms, and the thermostatically controlled fan cooling ensures reliable operation in commercial environments. The amplifier technology is extremely energy efficient and also features a standby mode that consumes only 6W of power. The constant voltage outputs allow long chains of small loudspeakers to be driven with variable power adjustments at each loudspeaker to allow local volume control.

Flexible assembly

The design of the B170S allows it to be mounted individually vertically or horizontally on or under shelves or tables or on walls. Up to six B170S units can be rack mounted side-by-side in a 3U space using the optional RM160 rack mount shelf to create a compact 12-channel system with six independent or grouped zones.
