2-channel reference power amplifier in multi-mono design
The Anthem Statement P2 is a powerful 2-channel power amplifier with a consistent multi-mono architecture. Delivering 325 watts per channel, it provides a stable and high-current power foundation for demanding loudspeaker systems. Manufactured in Canada, it follows a clear focus on electrical stability, channel separation, and long-term operational reliability.
Multi-mono design for maximum channel separation
The P2 is built entirely as a true multi-mono system. Each channel operates independently with its own circuit board, separate power supply, and separate heat sink.
This architecture completely prevents crosstalk between channels and ensures precise channel balance across the entire frequency spectrum. The result is stable, clearly structured playback with high detail resolution and cleanly defined spatial imaging.
High-current capable power architecture
At the heart of the amplifier is a power stage designed for high current delivery. Fourteen bipolar output transistors are used per channel, ensuring constant power output even with complex loads.
Dedicated, matched toroidal transformers power each channel separately. This consistent separation of power supplies ensures a uniform power delivery – regardless of load or volume. Even at low impedances, the amplifier remains stable and controlled.
Separate power supplies and stable voltage supply
Each channel has two independent power supplies with separate transformer windings. This configuration ensures that the available power does not have to be split between the channels.
An integrated anti-saturation circuit ensures rapid stabilization in case of overdrive. Additionally, a regulated power supply in the driver section effectively reduces interference and minimizes background noise.
Signal routing and circuit board layout
Signal processing is handled via multilayer FR-4-based circuit boards with through-hole plating and reinforced copper traces. Large-area ground and current planes reduce interference and ensure clean signal transmission.
This layout significantly contributes to high signal purity and the minimization of external interference.
Efficient thermal management without active cooling
For continuous operation at high performance, the P2 is equipped with large aluminum heat sinks. These have been optimized for airflow and offer high heat dissipation without the use of fans.
Temperature sensors continuously monitor the thermal conditions and ensure safe operation even under load.
Connections and integration
The amplifier offers both RCA and balanced XLR inputs. A selector switch allows you to choose between the input types and adjust the level for XLR.
The speaker terminals are generously sized, gold-plated, and designed for different cable assemblies to ensure reliable signal transmission.
“No-fuse” design and operational reliability
The P2 deliberately omits traditional fuses in the signal path. Instead, it uses a directly connected power supply concept that reduces internal resistance and enables faster power delivery.
In the event of a fault, only the mains protection is activated. Additionally, self-resetting components (PTCs) protect the internal circuitry. Once the fault has been rectified, the system automatically resumes operation.
Processing and construction
The housing consists of a robust steel construction with low-vibration properties. An aluminum cover and precisely manufactured controls underscore the functional approach.
The design is geared towards long-term mechanical stability and reliable continuous operation. Rack-mount versions are available as an option.
