5-channel reference power amplifier in multi-mono design

The Anthem Statement P5 is a 5-channel power amplifier with a consistent multi-mono architecture and an output power of 325 watts per channel. Designed and manufactured in Canada, the concept focuses clearly on stable power delivery, precise channel separation, and high current capability – even under demanding load conditions.

Multi-mono architecture for maximum channel independence

Each of the five channels is completely independent and has separate signal paths, its own circuit boards, dedicated heat sinks and independent power supplies.

By eliminating shared signal paths, crosstalk is completely avoided. The result is consistent channel balance across the entire frequency spectrum and precise, stable reproduction in multi-channel operation.

High-current capable power amplifier section

The output stage of each channel is designed for high current delivery. Fourteen bipolar power transistors per channel ensure constant and controlled power output, even with complex loudspeaker loads.

Matched toroidal transformers are used, providing each channel with its own power supply. This design ensures a consistent power supply – regardless of how many channels are operating simultaneously.

Proprietary input stage and signal processing

The P5 uses a proprietary input topology instead of standard differential stages. Eight selected, low-noise bipolar transistors operate in a cascoded feedback structure to minimize distortion and extend bandwidth.

Thermally coupled input pairs ensure stable operating conditions and contribute to consistent signal processing.

Separate power supplies per channel

Each channel has two independent power supplies, fed by separate transformer windings. This architecture prevents power drops when multiple channels are in use simultaneously and ensures a stable voltage supply.

An integrated anti-saturation circuit stabilizes operation during overdrive and enables a rapid return to the linear operating range. Additionally, a regulated power supply in the driver section reduces background noise and minimizes interference.

Signal routing and circuit board layout

Signal processing is handled via multilayer FR-4 circuit boards with through-hole connections and reinforced copper layers. Large-area ground and current planes reduce electromagnetic interference and ensure clean signal transmission.

This layout contributes significantly to signal stability and the minimization of external influences.

Passive cooling system for continuous operation

For thermal stability, the P5 is equipped with large aluminum heat sinks. The cooling structure has been optimized for airflow to ensure effective heat dissipation even under high continuous power output.

The absence of active fans eliminates additional noise sources. Temperature sensors continuously monitor operating conditions and ensure stable, continuous operation.

Connectivity diversity and integration

The amplifier offers both unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR inputs. A switch allows you to select between the input types and adjust the level for XLR connections.

Large, gold-plated speaker terminals ensure a secure connection and low-loss signal transmission – even with large-volume cable assemblies.

“No-Fuse” design and protection concept

The P5 uses a directly connected power supply concept without conventional fuses in the signal path. This reduces internal resistance and improves immediate power availability.

In the event of a fault, only the network protection is activated. Additionally, self-resetting protection components (PTCs) are used, which automatically restore normal operation after the cause has been eliminated.

Housing and mechanical construction

The housing is based on a robust steel construction with high mechanical damping. An aluminum cover and precisely manufactured controls ensure a durable and functional design.

The design is intended for continuous use in multi-channel operation. Rackmount versions are available as an option for installation environments.
