With the Amp Box RS2, Pro-Ject presents a powerful stereo power amplifier from the RS series, which translates the manufacturer's reference high-end amplifier design into a compact format. Despite its space-saving design, it offers an impressive combination of high output power, fine resolution, and exceptional spatial imaging.

The Class AB amplifier design of the Amp Box RS2 combines sonic precision with efficient power delivery. It ensures extremely clean and controlled reproduction with very low distortion. At the same time, the design enables impressive microdynamics and a three-dimensional soundstage in which instruments and voices are clearly separated.

A distinctive feature of the RS series is the integrated tube buffer stage in the input stage. The RS2 amp box also utilizes this high-quality circuitry to impart additional musical detail and natural tonal colors to the signal. The tube buffer operates at reference quality and contributes to a particularly open and vibrant sound reproduction.

The solid, all-metal housing serves several purposes. Besides its high-quality appearance, it reliably protects the sensitive electronics from electromagnetic interference. At the same time, the robust construction ensures efficient heat dissipation, which supports the operational reliability and longevity of the power amplifier.

The Amp Box RS2 offers both unbalanced RCA inputs and balanced XLR connections. This allows for flexible integration into a wide variety of hi-fi systems – from classic stereo setups to high-end preamplifier solutions with balanced signal transmission. The desired input can be conveniently selected via the front panel of the device or via an RS232 interface, which also enables integration into more complex control systems.

High-quality, insulated, and gold-plated speaker terminals are provided for connecting to the speakers. These accept both 4 mm banana plugs and spade connectors or bare wire ends, ensuring a secure and low-loss signal transmission.

With an output of up to 130 watts per channel into 4 ohms in stereo mode, the Amp Box RS2 delivers ample power reserves for a wide variety of modern loudspeakers. The amplifier can also be operated in bridged mode. In this configuration, it functions as a powerful mono amplifier with significantly increased output, allowing even demanding loudspeakers to be driven with high control.

Another advantage is the option to upgrade the power supply. The included power supply already provides a solid foundation for operation. However, for even greater sonic stability and power reserves, the optional Power Box RS2 Amp is available. This separate linear power supply uses a large toroidal transformer and sophisticated shielding between the primary and secondary windings. This effectively reduces interference from the mains power supply and ensures a particularly clean power supply to the amplifier.

The Amp Box RS2 is available in silver and black and is manufactured entirely in Europe.
