The experience of listening to vinyl is a tactile one. You gently open the record sleeve, remove the record from the inner sleeve, check it for dust or scratches, place it on the turntable and slowly lower the needle to release the sound. It's all about you and your music, chosen for that exact moment. With the V10, Hegel strives to enhance this unique experience. The V10 has been designed from the ground up and is packed with really clever and unique technologies that offer a transparency and soundscape never before seen. The music you hear becomes as tangible and real as the record it's pressed on.

Technology for audiophile sound

Hegel achieves this by designing everything on the V10 with the sole purpose of making your music sound as good as possible. The chassis is divided into two sections to physically separate the power supplies from the delicate amplifier circuitry. There is no detectable interference between the two parts. The V10 is equipped with gold-plated connectors, balanced XLR outputs and a massive custom ground screw to ensure the best possible connection. In the important input stage, Hegel uses extremely low noise discrete JFET transistors for both the Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) inputs. Eliminating extraneous noise is especially important when using sensitive, low output MC cartridges. That's why the MC input is equipped with four such transistors connected in parallel to make the input completely noiseless and prevent any feedback of the bias current to the cartridge coil.

Customizable settings for individual preferences

It was particularly important to us that all vinyl lovers can enjoy the benefits of the V10. That is why it is configured as an excellent plug-and-play MM preamplifier. For many, this is exactly what they want and need, but some want even more. That is why the V10 has been made highly optimizable to meet individual preferences and setup requirements. The V10 can be set up for any MM and MC cartridge.
