YAMAHA PARAMETRIC ROOM ACOUSTIC OPTIMIZER (YPAO ®)

Environmental factors play an important role in a room's acoustic signature and in any type of audio. Yamaha's proprietary YPAO™ auto-calibration feature, used in many home theater products for decades, has been optimized for the R-N2000A to create an ideal listening environment, just like you're in a professional audio listening room—without the hassle having to make manual adjustments.

TOROID TRANSFORMER

Normally reserved for high-end hi-fi components, the R-N2000A benefits from the technical performance and absolute musicality of a toroidal transformer. In conjunction with numerous high-end hi-fi functions and components, the toroidal transformer ensures that the emotional bandwidth of the music is passed on to the listener. In addition, there is a 3mm thick brass base between the bottom of the transformer and the inner casing, which dampens the vibrations of the transformer and provides an overwhelmingly spatial and realistic sound.

HIGH PERFORMANCE DAC

For clear, transparent reproduction of the sound image and detailed musicality, Yamaha uses the state-of-the-art ES9026PRO digital/analog converter from ESS Technologies. This high-quality DAC achieves high-precision signal conversion via the balanced analog audio output and further improved current delivery for four-channel operation, effectively reproducing even the subtle acoustics of concert halls and delicate, expressive nuances in the sound.

MECHANICAL CONCEPT FOR A STABLE FLOOR

Just like Yamaha's high-end Hi-Fi model, the R-N2000A also works with the mechanical concept for a stable floor. The concept starts with the bolting of the feet, which are welded directly to the main chassis, and continues with the large heatsink, power transformer, and blocking capacitors, which are also bolted directly to the chassis.

FULLY BALANCED POWER AMPLIFIER

Thanks to Yamaha's original amplifier technology, the power amplifier circuit including the power supply is completely independent of ground, and the influence of minute voltage fluctuations and external ground noise has been completely eliminated. This circuit design offers a number of advantages, including the perfect symmetry of the pull-pull operation in the output stage, the achievement of an excellent signal-to-noise ratio, and an overwhelming expressiveness that perfectly brings out the sound of any musical instrument.

SYMMETRICAL CONSTRUCTION

To achieve the epitome of stereo reproduction in this component, the R-N2000A has a perfectly symmetrical, foldable construction with the power supply in the middle and the power amp blocks at both ends of the main unit. This gives the unit ideal weight distribution and suppresses unwanted effects between channels for outstanding channel separation. The result is a remarkably pure reproduction of all parts of the sound - exactly as they are.

MUSIC CAST

The R-N2000A features Yamaha's unique MusicCast network system. It's also compatible with a wide range of streaming services such as Amazon Music HD and Spotify, so you can enjoy the exceptionally high sound quality of today's high-resolution and lossless sound sources in full and with absolute fidelity. You can also use it to stream Apple Music with Airplay 2. And with the MusicCast system, you can easily listen to music anywhere in your house by linking different MusicCast devices with just one app on your smart device.

A stable transmission method was chosen by asynchronous transmission. In addition, a high-precision, dedicated crystal clock ensures improved signal accuracy. It also supports native DSD 11.2MHz playback and 384kHz playback, so you can enjoy exceptionally high-quality sound that takes full advantage of high-resolution audio sources.

HDMI ARC CONNECTOR

ATTRACTIVE LEVEL INDICATORS

The beautifully designed level meters are reminiscent of the nostalgic era of hi-fi while signaling the return of pure hi-fi for today's discerning music lover. The level indicators visually represent the dynamics and beat of the music and convey a pleasant feeling with their softly lit LEDs. There is also a brilliant, high-resolution LED display on the underside of the front panel that shows the track being played.
