With the NAD CI SA2-120, NAD presents a state-of-the-art streaming amplifier specifically designed for professional custom installations. Combining DirectDigital™ amplification with the award-winning BluOS multi-room platform, the model offers impressive sound quality, flexible connectivity, and seamless integration into smart home systems. With its compact 1/3 rack format and only 1U height, the CI SA2-120 is ideal for use in complex installations—from residential homes to commercial multi-room projects.

Compact, scalable and highly efficient

The CI SA2-120 is part of NAD's new CI Modular Series, designed for maximum flexibility and efficiency. Despite its compact size, it houses a 2 x 120-watt DirectDigital™ amplifier, which can also be operated in a 4 x 60-watt configuration. Thanks to Dynamic Load Management technology, the amplifier automatically detects the connected speakers and intelligently distributes power to the outputs.

The integrated thermostatically controlled cooling system ensures reliable temperature regulation even in densely packed racks. The compact form factor (1/3 width x 1U) saves valuable rack space without compromising performance.

Versatile applications

Whether as a stereo amplifier, multi-room, or zone solution, the CI SA2-120 flexibly adapts to any application. It can be operated in a main zone/sub-zone configuration, allowing two pairs of speakers to be independently controlled – perfect for bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms or open-plan living areas.

With its versatile connectivity, it is equally suitable for new builds and retrofit systems. Connection options include HDMI eARC, 3.5 mm analog/Mini Toslink inputs (with Dolby decoder), Bluetooth 5.2 aptX HD, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet. Outputs include a subwoofer out, 2 x 4-pin Phoenix connectors with tool-free snap-on blocks, and control options via IR and 12V trigger.

Flexible installation

The CI SA2-120 is designed for a wide variety of installation scenarios. It can be mounted on a wall, in a rack, or freestanding. Thanks to the included rack ears, rubber feet, and keyhole mounts, the device can be integrated flexibly.

The automatic thermostatic ventilation ensures quiet, reliable operation, even when stacked multiple times in a rack. With its robust housing and clean finish, the CI SA2-120 is ideal for both residential and professional AV environments.

BluOS – High-Resolution Multiroom Streaming

With the BluOS platform, the CI SA2-120 becomes a fully-fledged streaming amplifier. Over 20 integrated music services—including Spotify, TIDAL, Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, internet radio, and more—are readily available. The intuitive BluOS app enables music streaming in up to 64 zones with lossless playback up to 24-bit/192 kHz.

The system also integrates seamlessly with leading control platforms such as Control4, Crestron, URC, RTI, Lutron, NICE, Josh.ai, and many more. Integrators can also remotely monitor and maintain the amplifier via Domotz—a plus point for installers and smart home integrators.

Dirac Live Ready – Studio-quality room acoustics

The acoustics of a room significantly influence the sound. The CI SA2-120 is Dirac Live Ready and can be precisely calibrated with an optional license to adapt the sound to the individual room characteristics. This ensures that each zone is optimally tuned to the listening room – for an audiophile result in any environment.
