With the NAD CI 16-60 DSP, NAD presents a powerful 16-channel power amplifier specifically designed for professional multi-room and custom-install systems. Equipped with modified Hypex UcD amplifiers and network-based DSP control, it combines maximum reliability with precise signal processing—perfect for demanding commercial or residential installations where stability, efficiency, and sound quality are paramount.

Maximum flexibility for professional applications

The CI 16-60 DSP offers an impressive range of possible applications – from multi-room systems in residential buildings to complex audio distribution systems in restaurants, conference rooms or hotels.

Thanks to integrated Hypex UcD technology, it impresses with extremely low distortion, minimal noise, and stable operation – even with long cable runs or difficult speaker loads. Each of the 16 power amplifiers delivers 60 watts into 8 ohms (or 65 watts into 4 ohms). In bridged mode, two channels can be combined to deliver 8 x 140 watts into 8 ohms, giving the amplifier exceptional performance.

The global inputs and outputs allow an audio signal to be easily routed to multiple channels or external amplifiers – ideal for installations with numerous speaker zones.

Intelligent control via network (WEB GUI)

The CI 16-60 DSP can be integrated directly into the network via a LAN connection and can be fully configured and calibrated via a web-based user interface.

The user-friendly interface offers:

• Virtual patch panel for freely selectable routing of inputs to any outputs
• Real-time temperature and power status monitoring

Sound quality with NAD-typical character

Like all NAD custom-installed components, the CI 16-60 DSP delivers the signature NAD sound—powerful, neutral, and rich in detail. The modified Hypex UcD power amplifiers ensure exceptionally clean reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum.

The amplifiers operate linearly across a wide bandwidth, ensuring consistent performance across all speaker loads. With a total harmonic distortion of less than 0.05% and a damping factor of 110, the power amplifier delivers clear, controlled reproduction—even in demanding installations.

Bridge operation and signal loop-through

For particularly high-performance setups, the CI 16-60 DSP channels can be bridged in pairs, increasing the output power to 8 × 140 watts at 8 ohms. The analog RCA inputs and outputs are available both per channel and globally. This allows multiple amplifiers to be easily cascaded without the need for external signal distributors.

This flexible architecture facilitates the planning and implementation of large multi-room systems and at the same time enables high scalability with low installation effort.

Energy efficient and reliable

The CI 16-60 DSP was developed for continuous operation in professional rack systems. Despite its high output power, it remains low-power and thermally stable thanks to efficient Class-D technology.

With a standby power consumption of less than 0.5 watts and automatic switch-on via signal detection, it meets the highest efficiency standards. The 12V trigger input and IR in/out also enable integration into automated control systems.
